We are committed at LWCC to obey the Great Commission by proclaiming the gospel and making disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15, Luke 24:46-47; Acts 1:8).
The Evangelism ministry exists to equip and mobilize our people to be effective witnesses of Christ locally and be involved in missions globally. Locally, we currently have Senior’s outreach in nursing homes in Langley. We reach out to our community by organizing Vacation Bible School in Summer time and connecting with local outreach organizations. Globally, we connect with missionaries serving overseas and seek various ways to participate in the proclamation of the Gospel to “the ends of the earth” through short term mission trips.
Salvation is by faith and by grace alone through the death of Christ that paid the penalty of our sins (Ephesians 2:8-9) and it’s sufficient for our redemption. When people believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and trust and obey Him as their Lord, they begin the journey of becoming disciples of Jesus Christ and growing in Christlikeness through the power of the Holy Spirit and the ministry of God’s eternal Word. We are committed at Living Word to help our people grow spiritually in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18)
We encourage our people to be intentional in sharing the true Gospel in all our sphere of influence using all possible media. We live in a world that desperately needs the hope and salvation that can only be found through trusting the finished work of Christ on the cross and His rising again in victory over sin and death. Acts 4:12 “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
Jesus Christ said in John 14:6 – “I am The Way, The Truth and The Life that no one comes to the Father except through Me”.
